Owner Participation Program

Some customers desire to be actively involved in the construction of their project. This involvement may involve physically performing some of the work, utilizing friends or relatives who may be in a trade, or simply, having the desire to coordinate the project themselves with Amity Construction & Design as their guide and supporter.

Typically our “Owner Participation Program” encompasses contracting with the customer (owner) for the design of the project, and providing an enclosed weather-tight structure. Amity Construction & Design will then assist the customer with obtaining bids from all of the required trades. We will also assist in the permit process, financing process, and project coordination. This unique program allows the customer to enjoy optimum cost savings. The concept, different from standard general contracting, provides the customer the option of personal involvement, while thereby realizing additional savings via the elimination of a general contractor’s profit on individual subcontractors. The more involved the customer is, the more they save.
